Navigating the App
Arbeon uses a consistent layout across the app: a collapsible sidebar for main navigation, a top bar for quick actions and account controls, and a command palette for global search. Here's how each part works.
Sidebar
The sidebar is on the left side of the screen and contains the main navigation links. It is collapsible — you can click the collapse icon to show only icons, giving more space to the main content.

Top Bar
The top bar runs across the top of the screen and includes:
- Logo — Click to return to the Dashboard
- Quick punch — A button to clock in or out without leaving the current page
- Notification bell — Alerts for leave requests, mentions, and other updates
- Profile menu — Your avatar or name; click to access account options, company switcher (if applicable), and sign out
Command Palette
The command palette lets you quickly search and perform actions from anywhere in the app.
- Open it — Press
Cmd+K(Mac) orCtrl+K(Windows/Linux) - Use it — Type to search documents, tasks, and other items. You can also run quick actions such as creating a task or opening a specific page.
- Close it — Press

This is useful for power users who want to jump straight to a task or document without clicking through the sidebar.
Mobile Experience
On smaller screens (phones and tablets):
- The sidebar becomes a hamburger menu. Tap the menu icon to open a full-screen overlay with all navigation links.
- The top bar remains visible but may be simplified to show the most important controls.
- The command palette is still available via the keyboard shortcut if your device supports it.
Tips
- Collapse the sidebar when you need more room for content.
- Use the command palette to move quickly between sections.
- Check the notification bell regularly for approvals and mentions.
