Attendance Policy
The Attendance Policy settings page lets you define rules that govern attendance tracking. Navigate to Settings > Attendance Policy to access it.
Overview
The attendance policy applies company-wide. It determines how punches are interpreted and how hours, overtime, and exceptions are calculated.
Configurable Settings
Configurable settings may include:
- Grace period for late arrivals — How many minutes late before an exception is flagged
- Auto clock-out timing — When and how employees are automatically clocked out if they forget
- Break policies — Rules for breaks (e.g., unpaid break duration, when they apply)
- Overtime thresholds — When overtime begins (e.g., after 8 hours per day or 40 per week)
Exact options depend on your Arbeon configuration.
When Changes Apply
Changes to the attendance policy take effect for future attendance computations. Past punch data is not recalculated automatically. New punches and future schedule periods will use the updated policy.
How Attendance Is Computed
Attendance is computed based on:
- Clock-in and clock-out punches
- The configured attendance policy
- Leave and corrections (as approved)
The policy ensures consistent rules across all stores and employees.
