Rooms & Direct Messages

Chat supports several room types depending on your communication needs.

Company Room

There is one company room per company. All company members can participate. Use it for company-wide announcements and general discussion.

Store Rooms

One room per store — Each store has its own room. Only members of that store can see and participate in it. Use store rooms for store-specific conversations.

Group Rooms

Create custom groups with selected members:

1. Click Create Group
2. Give the group a name
3. Add members
4. Save

You can name and manage the group, add or remove members, and use it for project teams or departments.

Direct Messages

Direct Messages (DMs) are private one-on-one conversations. Start a DM by selecting a user from your contacts or the member list. Only you and the other person can see the messages.

Room Settings

• Mute/Unmute notifications — Control whether you receive notifications for new messages in a room
• Leave group rooms — You can leave group rooms you no longer need
• Add or remove members — Group admins can manage who is in the group
