Corrections
Request changes to your punch records.
Corrections
If a punch is wrong, missing, or needs to be adjusted, you can submit a correction request. Corrections let you fix mistakes in your attendance records without direct edit access. Managers and admins review your requests and, when approved, your punch records are updated accordingly.
Navigating to Corrections
Go to the Corrections page from the main menu or via the Dashboard quick action "View Corrections." There you can submit new requests and see the status of existing ones.
Submitting a Correction Request
When you submit a correction request, you specify:
- What needs to change — Describe the problem: a missed punch, wrong time, wrong punch type, wrong store, or something else.
- Details — Provide enough information for a reviewer to understand and apply the fix (e.g., "Forgot to clock out at 5:00 PM on Feb 20" or "Clocked in at 8:15 instead of 8:00").
Follow the form on the Corrections page to enter this information.
Viewing Pending Requests
On the Corrections page, you can see your pending correction requests — those awaiting approval or rejection. Each request typically shows the date, description, and current status. You can also see previously approved or rejected requests for your records.
Approval and Rejection
Admins and managers can approve or reject correction requests. They review the details and decide whether the change is valid. You may receive a notification when your request is approved or rejected.
After Approval
Once a correction is approved, the system updates the attendance records. The wrong or missing punch is corrected, and your timesheet reflects the new data. Your hours worked and related reports will use the updated information.
When to Use Corrections
Use corrections for:
- Missed punches — You forgot to clock in or clock out.
- Wrong times — You punched at the wrong time (e.g., typo or wrong button).
- Wrong punch type — You accidentally used Break Start instead of Clock Out, or vice versa.
- Other errors — Any other situation where your punch record needs to be fixed.
Submit a correction as soon as you notice the problem so it can be resolved before payroll or reporting runs.
